CHYE to Host Real Estate Investing Course

CHYE has announced a new 8-week course on the “Introduction to Real Estate Investing.” Full Story

CHYE has announced they will host “Introduction to Real Estate Investing,” an 8-week real estate course live via Zoom starting Tuesday, Feb 20th. The course is geared toward people looking to advance their real estate careers or to learn the fundamentals of real estate investing. It will be facilitated by the Foundations of Real Estate (FORE), a real estate resource and education platform (www.foundationsofre.com) founded by brothers Avi and Eli Minkowitz. With nearly two decades of combined professional experience encompassing all facets of real estate acquisitions, this curriculum can help empower you with the information and competencies to start investing.

Real estate has become a burgeoning industry in the Jewish community, presenting people with a range of job opportunities in management, brokerage, and investing. This course, as explained by Avi Minkowitz, one of the founders of FORE, is designed to help people “understand the vocabulary of real estate investing.”

“Real estate has a language of its own,” says Minkowitz. “Anyone looking to enter this broad world will benefit from the knowledge taught in this course.”

Each week, we will cover various topics, beginning with asset classes and the most important metrics and terms in real estate modelling, to understanding mortgages, financing real estate investments, management and devising a real estate investment plan—providing participants with an understanding of the “inner dimensions of the real estate world.”

While FORE offers no formal accreditation for its course, it is the perfect platform for people looking to advance their knowledge—whether for investment or employment purposes—in an otherwise complex, competitive, and intricate industry.

“If you plan on participating in a real estate investing venture,” explains Minkowitz, “it is important to understand the language of the real estate world. This course will cover what to ask a lawyer, how to evaluate a potential investment, and the best ways to procure financing.”

CHYE is partnering with FORE on this course, as the FORE platform will ensure that students can correspond with industry professionals, receive resources and spreadsheets, market trends and updates, and a forum to connect with other students for questions and discussion. Our goal, says Minkowitz, “is not to teach and leave, but to provide the students a portal and community to help them learn, grow, ask questions, and connect as they venture into the world of real estate.” A hard copy textbook, written by the founders, will be provided to students.
